My Dagger Forging Experience is a 4 to 4 1/2 hour blacksmith forging day where the person doing the forging experience will work with me to forge a dagger
We will use historic knife making and swordsmith skills in the process.
People taking part would take their finished dagger home with them.
I’ve developed my Dagger Forging Experience based on 10 years of my own experience in blacksmith forging knives, axes and swords, and on my knowledge and expertise as a swordsmith.
Location
The Dagger Forging Experiences take place at the Petefire Forge in Chiswell Green, near St Albans in Hertfordshire, England. Here’s more information on the Petefire Forge location.
It’s a bit of a workout
It’s pretty physical and there’s a good deal of hammering involved, Peter will work with the person taking part and make sure that the work is progressing a pace that will allow the dagger to be finished.
We don’t have other people on our Blacksmith Forging Experiences
It would only be you and anyone you’ve brought along to do the forging experience with you, or to watch and take photos and videos.
All our Blacksmith Forging Experiences are now indoors at the Petefire Chiswell Green Forge – so we’re not affected by the weather!
